Dr. Abhilash Kancharla is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Computer Science department at The University of Tampa, teaching undergraduate-level courses. Before his teaching at The University of Tampa, Dr. Kancharla also taught Computer Science courses at Oklahoma State University, where he received his Master’s and Doctorate degrees in the same field. Dr. Kancharla started his career as a software tester at Capgemini while working for clients like HSBC, Capital One, and Bank of America. He has worked for over five years with blockchain, primarily Ethereum and Hyperledger blockchains. His work involved modifying the Ethereum source code for better performance and scalability. Dr. Kancharla also works as an ad-hoc reviewer for blockchain and queueing-related papers at MDPI Journal. He has organized two workshops at IEEE that are related to blockchain, incorporating the concepts of AI and NFT. His secondary area of research consists of works related to Big Data and Hadoop. He also received his ISTQB certification as a software tester.
